Things
To Consider Before Booking Your Entertainment
-
Are you looking for a Disc Jockey or an Entertainer?
When looking for your entertainment, an important aspect
to consider is whether you're looking for a Disk Jockey
or an Entertainer. The biggest difference is that a Disc
Jockey offers very little or no interactive entertainment.
A Disc Jockey will play music-nothing more, nothing less.
In comparison, Entertainers are fun, creative, energetic
and get your guests involved. Full Tilt Entertainers will
make the most of your reception and deliver a special night
that will be remembered forever.
- Will your entertainment have over 15 years of
experience?
Like
everything else, the more you do it, the better you get!
All six of our entertainers with Full Tilt Entertainment
have 15 to 25 years of WEDDING experience. Full Tilt
would never send an Entertainer to the most important night
of your life unless we were absolutely confident in their
performance and experience
-
Will you have a consultation?
No
two brides and grooms are the same. No two Entertainers
are the same. If your entertainment doesn't meet with you
to communicate, will they know how to make your day perfect?
The answer is that they won't! Our consultations are about
two hours long and are scheduled at your convenience. WE
CARE
- What percentage of their events are repeat or
referral?
If
most of the work they do isn't repeat or referral, there's
a reason. Nearly 90% of our events are repeat or referral.
That's almost 9 out of 10 shows!
- How long has the company been in business?
In
1987, there were only a few names that are still around
today. Full Tilt Entertainment is 1 of 3 major companies
that is still around today. EVERYBODY ELSE is new to the
market! Full Tilt has been entertaining throughout the Midwest
since 1979 and is still going strong today
- Is the DJ full-time or part-time?
Full-time
Entertainers spend all week bettering their show, learning
new routines and networking for better resources. They research
and acquire the latest and finest in music. They also have
the knowledge, experience and resources to provide a spectacular
show. You can see all of our entertainers and their history
at www.fulltiltdjs.com!
- Do they have back-up equipment with them?
Most
companies don't have back-up equipment. If music is down
for an hour or more while the equipment is being delivered,
EVERYBODY WILL LEAVE!
-
Do they have liability insurance?
The
bride and groom could be sued if a guest gets injured during
the event and your DJ/Entertainment has no insurance. Ask
to see the owner's certificate of insurance.
-
Do they have a backup DJ on call?
Sometimes
it's not the gear that breaks; it's the car or the DJ himself!
- How many systems is the company running?
Some
companies have over 30 systems out at the same time. Do
you think there are 30 good wedding DJ's? How about great
wedding Entertainers? Most of the time, the owner of a company
is really good, but the rest of the staff isn't quite as
good! Everyone we employ at Full Tilt Entertainment loves
what they do and is more than happy to go the extra mile.
- Can you choose your Entertainer/DJ?
If
the company doesn't say YES, find one who will! We give
references and backgrounds on all of our Entertainers.
-
Do they attend national DJ conventions?
In
order to better our performance and learn new ideas from
DJ's and Entertainers all across America, Full Tilt Entertainers
attend conventions annually in Las Vegas, Atlantic City,
Minneapolis, and Louisville, KY. Not only has Full Tilt
attended these conventions annually, we also teach some
of the Interactive Wedding Seminars.
-
What banquet hall manager's weddings have they done?
Banquet
managers have seen all of the companies. They use only the
best for their families! Best Western-Janesville, The Don
Q Inn, Devils Head Resort, Tyrol Basin Ski Lodge, Holiday
Inn Express - Janesville, Wi, Fitzgerald's and Herrimans
are a few examples that used Full Tilt Entertainment.
